DEVIATION OF THE NASAL SEPTUM

Deviation of the nasal septum

Nasal septal deviation occurs when the septum is not exactly in the middle of the nose. This deviation usually arises from trauma.

SYMPTOMS
The most frequent symptom of a deviated nasal septum is difficulty in breathing which sometimes occurs only on the side opposite to the deviation. In some cases, the diversion can result in repeated infections.
