Anthro-chanal polyp

Anthro-chanal polyps almost always develop at a young age and cause nasal respiratory obstruction, especially evident during the expiratory phase when the air current tends to lift the polyp and compress it in the choanal region (the posterior nasal cavities that lead to communication nostrils and mouth), which is then completely obstructed.

Mucocele

Mucocele is the distension of a mucous membrane due to the slow accumulation of mucus. This tumour develops slowly and it can therefore reach a considerable size. The treatment of mucocele varies according to the symptoms and the usefulness of the treatment.

Symptoms and clinical signs are very similar to those of chronic sinusitis, with the appearance of mucopiocele. Other symptoms are intense pain and no runny nose.
