CANCERS

Cancers of the neck and larynx

Tumours of the larynx

In most cases, laryngeal tumors originate in the mucous membrane that lines the inside the canal. The most common is called squamous cell carcinoma.

DIAGNOSIS
Almost all laryngeal cancers are caused by the damage of smoking or by excessive alcohol consumption. More rarely, laryngeal cancer originates in the glands, muscle tissue or lymphatic tissue, as, for example, in the case of lymphomas.
The evolution of laryngeal cancer, as well as recovery, depend on the location and extent of the tumour.
